Shadow Company - A New Series Coming This Year

I'm excited to announce that I've been working on a new series. The setting has a Revolutionary War/Civil War period feel to it but with a fantasy element. I wouldn't consider it historical fiction, as it takes place in a fictional world, but there are some parallels to this time period, whether it's in the U.S. or England. Below is a summary of the series and some related artwork done by John Ric Detoon.

A mage. A munitions expert. A marksman. And a scout. They’re a group of specialists that Captain Jaxon Saunders knows well. Jaxon fought beside them in the Qukeg war, but now his homeland is divided, and a different type of war has begun. Rebels are slowly infiltrating the borders of Votak, the country’s largest state, in hopes of taking the capital city of Winstadt. In an attempt to fend them off, Governor Sharp has deployed troops to the borders and put Jaxon in charge of a unique team. A team that answers to only one person. The governor himself. They’re Shadow Company, and they could be the difference between winning and losing.
